CTI is currently seeking a talented Deployment Engineer to join our team. As a Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the deployment of our software solutions to client environments. You will collaborate with other engineers and technical teams to ensure the successful installation and configuration of our software, and provide post-deployment support as needed. Supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in assist, design, implement, maintain, and administer a growing cloud and on premises network infrastructure solution to support a modern Mission Control System.
As a Deployment Engineer, you will be part of a cloud information systems team that is responsible for designing and deploying a scalable, maintainable, and highly available hybrid network architecture supporting USSOCOM and other Department of Defense organizations.
Responsibilities of the Deployment Engineer includes but are not limited to:
- Design, deploy, and maintain USSOCOM’s cloud and on-prem infrastructure services.
- Lead planner for execution of network upgrades and expansions
- Collaborate with USSOCOM government engineer and technical staff to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and firmware across an array of network solutions.
- Responsible for installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
- Configure and manage operating systems (Windows and Linux), applications (commercial and government), networks (IPs, subnets, etc.), and network hardware.
- Configure and manage DOD and IC standard distributed authentication services.
- Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to USSOCOM and government policies.
- Assist the government in creating and maintaining network security policies, standards, and monitoring capabilities.
- Implement and maintain backup operations, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Manage cloud-based services such as DNS, digital certificates, storage solutions including SAN and NAS, IP based video, phone services and camera services, and network connected end user workstations.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization, as required.
- Support and manage other IT services as required.
This is a remote position and requires up to 30% travel to USSOCOM facilities worldwide.
Requirements
Necessary skills and experience:
- Prior SOCOM network enterprise experience with at least 3-years managing SIE capabilities.
- 5 Years experience in domain administrator and SCCM experience with managing windows and Linux DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Sites & Services.
- 5 Years experience with working with virtual services such as VMware vSphere, VSAN and ESXi.
- Certifications: Comptia Sec+, MS Windows/RHEL administrator certifications, Cloud administrative certifications in AWS and/or MS Azure.
- Strong technical curiosity, security-minded, and a "let's figure it out" attitude.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with administrating hardware, installation, implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Beneficial skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- 5-Years of experience working on SOCOM’s enterprise services for SOFNET-U and SOFNET-S
- Prior experience migrating from on-prem to cloud environments.
- Prior experience with an agile environment where continuous development is practiced.
