We are Cruise, a company at the forefront of developing self-driving car technology. Our journey began in 2013, founded by Kyle Vogt and Dan Kan, with a clear and focused mission: to make transportation safer and more accessible for everyone. We believe that self-driving technology has the potential to save lives and transform our cities by reducing accidents and increasing mobility. Since our inception, we've been dedicated to building the world's most advanced self-driving vehicles. General Motors recognized our potential and acquired us in 2016, allowing us to operate as a largely autonomous subsidiary while benefiting from their extensive resources and automotive expertise. This partnership has been instrumental in our growth and our ability to push the boundaries of autonomous vehicle development.

Our team, now comprising thousands of engineers and professionals, is passionately working to solve one of the most complex and interesting challenges of our time: urban autonomous driving. We've developed a sophisticated technology stack that includes LiDAR, cameras, RADAR, and advanced AI algorithms to enable our vehicles to navigate complex city streets safely and efficiently. Our AI-driven systems are constantly learning and evolving, gathering information from every drive to continuously improve performance across our entire fleet. We've achieved significant milestones, including being the first company to offer driverless rides in a major public city and receiving permits to test fully driverless vehicles. Although we faced challenges that led to a temporary pause in our operations in late 2023, we have since resumed manual driving and are diligently working towards returning to our driverless mission, with an unwavering commitment to safety and rebuilding trust with the communities we serve. We are excited about the future and the positive impact our technology will have on society, creating a safer, more accessible, and more efficient transportation landscape.
