Cribl is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our System Test team. If you love solving complex problems and want to see your work directly improve the customer experience, this is the team for you. As an active member of our team, you will…
- Integrate with, improve, and build upon our continuous testing systems, testing automation, and reporting of quality metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how the product is used by customers in order to develop test strategies and help troubleshoot customer issues
- Work closely with development teams to ensure proper test planning and execution is incorporated as early as possible in our release cycles and maximizes testing coverage
- Be expert in identifying performance bottlenecks, spotting anomalous system behavior, and determining the root cause of issues
- Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
If you got it - we want it
- 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer or SDET with a Computer Science degree and/or relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with cloud platform technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS)
- Proven proficiency in coding in at least one language, preferably experience with more than one language
- Proficiency in designing test frameworks/suites and developing test automation, encompassing both frontend and backend, is important for excelling in this role
- Experience designing and developing tools and tests for complex customer use cases.
- Experience cross collaborating with other teams such as Support, Sustained Engineering and Customer escalations for instance.
- Understanding and/or experience working with data intensive applications and/or data streams processing
- Detail-oriented and dedicated to elegant and high-quality software; enjoys uncovering bugs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; able to explain complex technical topics to both internal and external stakeholders with ease and in remote/distributed environments
Salary Range ($145,000 - $165,000)
The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus.
