SUMMARY
The Sr. Director, North America Pricing is responsible for driving strategic pricing initiatives and leading pricing activities and assessments across North America’s business units. This role provides ongoing leadership and support to finance leaders and key business partners. Our ideal candidate is someone who comes ready with a playbook of Pricing best practices, can output consistently and accurately with minimal direction, embodies a track-record of helping to drive profitability, and is a proven leader and developer of talent. The role will report to the CFO, NA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- This position will drive pricing and bid strategy across the customer base, focusing on initiatives that drive profitable growth for the organization
- The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner with leadership across the company to creatively identify areas for systemic improvement and business models across the enterprise
- Ensure Covetrus submits price proposals that comply with business system and customer requirements
- Work with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams; foster collaboration between customer-facing leadership and product development teams
- Drive proposal-pricing strategy for corporate customers as well as core business initiatives
- Work with leaders to align strategic pricing to the corporate strategy, to include integrating acquired companies into our structure, evolving the company's rate structures to address the competitive landscape, and identify creative methods to succeed in new markets
- Utilize accurate and relevant information to aid in strategic proposal decision-making enterprise wide
- Lead and develop a team of Finance and/or Pricing professionals
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Accounting, MBA) is preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Pricing or Finance roles, including experience in a senior leadership position.
Financial Management Skills: Strong understanding of financial management and pricing management principles. Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide financial insights and guidance to support the company's overall strategic objectives and growth initiatives. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to executive management, internal and external stakeholders. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Integrity and Ethics: High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial governance and compliance. Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in financial management systems and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is a plus. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the veterinary industry, including understanding of industry-specific accounting practices and regulations.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows.
