Overview

The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for creating best-in-class business offerings. This is accomplished through collaboration with business leaders, sales and support teams, and client conversations. The Senior Solution Architect will have responsibility for establishing and sustaining processes and practices that support present and future sales and implementations, ensuring sales are aligned with current technical offering and capabilities, and that custom client requests are substantiated and well understood.

The Senior Solution Architect should have a passion for helping others understand our technical solutions and architecture, creating well defined solutions, and driving innovation with a keen interest in mentoring and elevating resources in client facing positions, as well as Engineering positions.

This role will involve some time working independently, but most of the time will be spent as part of client focused cross functional teams. This person will have to manage their time and clearly communicate expectations on work products and timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales and Client Engagement regarding new opportunities, new clients, expanding current client’s products, and custom client needs.
  • Talk with clients about the specifics of our technology integration capabilities including our integrated testing solutions. In support of client conversations, create appropriate documents to describe to clients our current high-level product architecture and technology.
  • Participate in the scoping of needs, such as unique workflow, data flow, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Coordinate the definition of custom technology solutions (including architecture, design, and the technology components of the solution cost). This includes documenting the high-level solution, vetting it internally and
  • then presenting it to the client.
  • Review and contribute to Statement of Work content when required in terms of assuring alignment with scoped opportunity prior to SOW delivery to clients.
  • For complex client implementations that may include new platform capabilities, vendor capabilities, data processing requirements, or reporting requirements, the Senior Solution Architect may coordinate solutioning session with clients, Client Services Management, Operations, and Engineering, and then document the solution architecture.
  • Participate in solution development planning and execution, bringing client insight to the delivery teams, and ensuring the client needs are met (inc. custom solutions). This includes understanding of the client's intent, not just the documented requirements.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned. Required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related degree.
  • 12 years prior work experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Product Owner, Product Implementations, or other solutioning role in a complex multi-system environment; or a Master's degree and 8 years related experience.
  • 5 years’ project and/or product delivery experience in the healthcare space.
  • Must have excellent written, spoken, and interpersonal communication skills as this role will interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Base compensation ranges from $145,000 to $185,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
