Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide essential support to our U.S. law firm clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and be comfortable managing all aspects of the litigation process. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality legal support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case intake through trial and appeal.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring that all documents and exhibits are readily accessible and up to date.
- Coordinate and manage communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
- Handle administrative tasks such as email management, scheduling, and tracking court deadlines.
- Prepare and manage discovery, including document production, interrogatories, and depositions.
- Assist in the preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials, including organizing exhibits and witness materials.
- Ensure compliance with court rules, procedures, and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as required to support the legal team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably with a focus on U.S. civil litigation.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
- Proficient in legal research methods and experienced in drafting legal documents.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.
