What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation procedures and regulations.
Nice to Have:
- CPA or CA certification (preferred but not required).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
What will you do?
- Financial Transactions: Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with Australian taxation procedures and regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and payments.
- Xero Expertise: Utilize Xero accounting software to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate reports.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
