Frontend Cloud Developer

About the role:

Our sister company, ABOVE, seeks a Frontend Cloud Developer to create scalable cloud solutions. You'll join an international team managing the full software development life cycle for the AWS-based ABOVE platform, which stores and distributes encoded video and metadata for customers, including major airlines. The role requires proficiency in front-end coding languages, third-party libraries, and visual design for web applications.

About the responsibilities:

• Build and enhance front-end applications using ReactJS and Tailwind/CSS, adhering to our design system;

• Create mockups and prototypes with Figma (or similar tools) and iterate based on feedback;

• Develop fast, secure data-handling solutions with GraphQL, REST, and AWS AppSync;

• Set up deployment pipelines with integrated testing;

• Test, debug, and upgrade software to ensure efficiency and responsiveness;

• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.

About you:

• Fluent in English;

• Based in Portugal (preferred);

• Experience with frontend development using TypeScript, React, and Tailwind;

• Proficiency in creating mockups and documentation from user stories;

• Ideally, hands-on experience with serverless AWS solutions for web applications;

• Familiarity with authentication models like OAuth and Cognito;

• Understanding of software engineering principles, version control (GitHub), and deployment;

• Experience with streaming technologies is a plus.
