We are looking for a Senior Golang Developer for an important U.S.-based client.

Project: Acceleration of platform alignment and deployment repeatability to support large, complex customer engagements and regulated environments, with an emphasis on improving release velocity, architectural consistency, and time-to-market.

SKILLS

MUST HAVES

• 8+ years of experience

• Hands-on experience developing backend services and microservices in Golang running on Kubernetes.

• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful HTTP APIs, including routing, middleware, and secure transport.

• Deep familiarity with Go tooling, testing frameworks, and linting practices.

• Experience building containerized workloads with Docker and deploying them via Helm charts into Kubernetes clusters.

• Solid understanding of configuration management using YAML, environment-driven configuration, and libraries such as Viper.

• Strong logging and diagnostics skills leveraging structured logging frameworks and exposing metrics/health endpoints for observability.

• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) driving build, test, lint, and Docker image publishing for multiple services.

• Strong understanding of secure service-to-service communication, token-based authentication/IDM integration, and HTTP client implementations.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience developing Kubernetes operators/controllers in Golang to manage custom resources and orchestrate workloads.

• Familiarity with SSE/Webhook-style event handling and long-lived HTTP connections in backend services.

• Exposure to message queue or command-queue style architectures and event-driven patterns.

• Experience integrating with Prometheus-style observability stacks via ServiceMonitor or similar CRDs.

• Familiarity with local development stacks using Docker Compose for multi-service environments.

• Understanding of secret management for services (certificates, credentials) and how it integrates with Helm-based deployments.

• Exposure to auxiliary languages and tooling in the ecosystem (e.g., Lua or Python for QA/automation) and comfort working in polyglot repositories.
