Job Summary:

We are seeking Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Compass Technology Integrations team.
This hands-on role is responsible for leading and executing the integration of technology platforms, infrastructure, and cloud services for newly acquired companies within Compass Group. The Sr. Systems Engineer will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and delivering complex migration and modernization initiatives across enterprise environments.

Primary responsibilities include migrating email platforms to Microsoft Exchange Online, consolidating enterprise data into Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive, assessing and documenting existing server infrastructure and business applications, developing migration and modernization strategies, and managing DNS and domain migrations into AWS Route 53.

This position also supports cybersecurity hardening initiatives, including deployment and management of CrowdStrike Falcon endpoint protection across acquired environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering, troubleshooting, infrastructure assessment, and project coordination skills while maintaining a customer-focused mindset and the ability to manage multiple integration e􀆯orts simultaneously. This role requires flexibility to perform critical migrations, cutovers, and security deployments during after-hours and weekend maintenance windows to minimize business disruption.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead, and execute enterprise technology integration and migration projects for newly acquired organizations.
  • Perform enterprise email migrations from Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace, and other email platforms into Microsoft Exchange Online.
  • Migrate and consolidate enterprise data from Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Box, file servers, andother sources into SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive.
  • Utilize enterprise migration tools including BitTitan MigrationWiz, MoveBot, ShareGate, Quest, and Microsoftnative tools to support email, data, and tenant-to-tenant migration initiatives.
  • Manage DNS migrations, domain consolidations, and public DNS infrastructure within AWS Route 53.
  • Assess and document existing server infrastructure, enterprise applications, storage systems, and identity platforms within acquired companies.
  • Analyze infrastructure and application dependencies and develop detailed migration, modernization, and consolidation plans.
  • Support migration of on-premises infrastructure, applications, and services into AWS cloud environments.
  • Deploy, manage, and support CrowdStrike Falcon agents and console administration as part of cybersecurity hardening and compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with endpoint security remediation, vulnerability mitigation, and security policy enforcement across integrated environments.
  • Utilize scripting and AI-assisted tools to perform integration tasks, continuously improving workflows, processes, and automation to drive greater e􀆯iciency and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, authentication, software, hardware, and security issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Provide post-migration support and stabilization during critical transition periods.
  • Communicate project status, risks, migration strategies, and technical solutions to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, accountability, professionalism, and technical documentation throughout all integration activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience engineering and supporting enterprise Windows and hybrid cloud environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and migrating Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online and related email technologies including mail flow, SMTP, DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), email security, hybrid Exchange environments, and enterprise email migration strategies.
  • Experience administering and supporting SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive within enterprise Microsoft 365 environments, including configuration, migrations, security, governance, and user support.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Group Policy, hybrid identity, SSO, MFA, and identity management.
  • Strong experience supporting and managing virtualized enterprise environments including AWS, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and similar platforms.
  • Experience migrating servers, applications, and infrastructure between on-premises virtualized environments and AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with cybersecurity hardening practices, endpoint protection technologies, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance initiatives.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python or other languages.
  • Hands-on experience with migration tools such as BitTitan MigrationWiz, MoveBot, ShareGate, Quest, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Experience performing large-scale tenant-to-tenant Microsoft 365 migrations.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, and firewall technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, infrastructure assessment, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong project coordination, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate across technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong customer service focus.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer, MS 365 Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
  • CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator
