This role supports Verisys by testing applications, evaluating the stability and reliability of enhancements and changes made by engineering/infrastructure/DevOps teams, and certifying the quality of deliverables.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Attends product planning and Scrum meetings
- Learns the functionality of applications
- Analyzes the changes being made to applications
- Estimates the amount of effort that would be required to complete the work
- Creates positive and negative test cases to exercise application changes
- Socializes the change with the QA team
- Creates destructive test cases
- Executes test cases and accurately reports on results
- Participates in peer reviews of test cases
- Liaises with developers and ensures defects identified are resolved
- Updates status sheets etc. after the completion of tasks
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Computer literate: ability to use G-Suite and MS Office productivity applications proficiently
- Demonstrates professionalism, honesty, discretion, and integrity
- Strong sense of confidentiality and personal responsibility
- Ability to work collaboratively, internally, and externally
- Ability to relate well to a variety of individuals and a track record of being a team player
- Provides excellent service to internal and external customers
- Demonstrates high energy level, strong work ethic, and proactive problem-solving skills
- API Testing: Strong understanding of JSON, SOAP, XML, and related formats/protocols.
- Database Skills: Ability to write and execute SQL queries, including clauses, joins, and data validation.
Education/Experience:
- A bachelor's degree, particularly in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- +2 years of QA testing experience
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Familiarity with credentialing and/or healthcare operations is preferred
