Job Summary

The Project Management Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing enterprise-wide projects and programs to achieve organizational objectives. This role collaborates with sponsors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The Project Management Specialist plays a key role in driving project success by managing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Essential Functions

  • Develops detailed project plans, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborates with sponsors and stakeholders to define project objectives, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams to manage project activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitors project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, providing regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and deliverables.
  • Identifies, assesses, and mitigates project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential challenges.
  • Tracks project budgets, ensuring expenses align with approved funding and reporting variances as necessary.
  • Facilitates effective communication among project team members, sponsors, and stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability.
  • Prepares and delivers comprehensive project reports, dashboards, and presentations to key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Evaluates completed projects, capturing lessons learned and recommending improvements for future initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in project management or a related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience managing multiple, concurrent highly complex projects or programs preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of the current state landscape (i.e., how the function is organized and operates today).
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and teaming skills.
  • Adaptive to and driver of change and transformation.
  • Ability to drive execution against key initiatives with multidisciplinary team to accomplish several initiatives and competing priorities, running in parallel, at an accelerated pace while maintaining high quality outputs and thoughtful decision making.
  • Understanding of the various intersection points between business operations and technology.
  • Ability to synthesize information into tangible, tailored messages to various stakeholder groups.
  • Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP/Oracle.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred
