VP of Go To Market Design
The VP of Go To Market Design is responsible for crafting the narrative, messaging, and commercial packaging that define how CTC presents its value to the market. This role partners directly with the CEO and collaborates across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Service to create clear and compelling offers that drive acquisition, renewal, and upsell. This leader will design high impact presentations, shape productized service offerings, analyze the competitive landscape, and translate CTC’s roadmap into a market facing story.
The VP of Go To Market Design must be fluent in ecommerce fundamentals, skilled in synthesizing complex ideas, and capable of producing executive level materials that combine strategic clarity with visual excellence. This person becomes the architect of CTC’s commercial story and the connective link between our internal capabilities and the needs of ecommerce operators.

Commercial Impact
Performance in this role will be measured by the degree to which strong narrative, offer design, and competitive positioning translate into commercial outcomes. Success includes supporting the achievement of new customer revenue targets and increasing upsell adoption within existing accounts. The quality of GTM materials, offer packaging, and monthly client call content should directly contribute to improved conversion rates, higher attach rates on productized services, and increased momentum across the sales pipeline.
NECESSARY SKILLS
GTM Narrative Leadership
- Own the complete go to market story and ensure alignment across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Service. Build a unified commercial narrative that the entire organization can repeat with clarity.
Offer Design
- Create and package service offerings that support renewals, upsells, and new business. Map operator pain points to CTC’s capabilities and translate them into compelling value propositions.
Presentation Excellence
- Develop executive level presentations with strong structure, persuasive storytelling, and visual polish. Raise the standard of all external facing materials.
Competitive Analysis
- Evaluate the agency, SaaS, and hybrid landscape. Identify differentiation opportunities and incorporate insights into pricing logic, positioning, and messaging.
Ecommerce Fluency
- Demonstrate deep comfort with ecommerce economics and operator decision making, including acquisition strategy, CAC, LTV, creative requirements, and P and L structure.
Strategic Synthesis
- Process complex inputs quickly and convert them into clear, persuasive narratives. Distill ambiguity into simple, actionable concepts.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work across teams with confidence and diplomacy. Balance strategic leadership with hands on execution to keep projects aligned and moving forward.

- Experience running structured working sessions that shape customer insights, refine messaging, or build consensus on offer design.
Executive Influence
- Demonstrated ability to guide senior stakeholders toward a clear point of view. Uses strong logic and communication to create alignment in high stakes environments.
DOMAIN
MANAGEMENT
- The role may begin without direct reports and expand to oversee a small team responsible for presentation design, messaging, and GTM operations.
ORIENTATION
- Primarily internal with significant external influence through high stakes client presentations, monthly client calls, and sales materials.
FOCUS
- VP level. Planning horizon is quarters to years. Responsible for building GTM strategy that scales with the company’s growth trajectory.

SALARY RANGE
- $190 - $230k base salary, annually

- Bonus Structure | 30% of Base
