The Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking Manager – Global Application Managed Services (AMS) Manager, is a “go to” practice leader that provides expert guidance, advice, and development support to the Consulting management team and their subsequent team members. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOW’s). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management. This person will assist in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.

Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Oversight responsibility for projects across the practice.
  • Oversee and assist Engagement Managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk and develop solutions and strategies.

Sales Support:

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work.
  • Review estimates for sales opportunities.
  • Review SOWs for language and accuracy.
  • Attend Orals and prospect meetings.
  • Manage utilization to targets.

Team Leadership:

  • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday applications.
  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging and innovative work environment.
  • Lead and manage Senior Managers and/or Managing Consultants to ensure consultants are adhering to the activities, processes and procedures outlined in Workday and the Cynergy Implementation Methodology.
  • Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationship and identify and foster business development opportunities.

People Development:

  • Perform role of mentor and coach.
  • Analyze team skills and provide for cross training to maintain teams’ ability to staff projects appropriately.
  • Advise management team on team members’ level of expertise and availability.
  • Schedule regular 1:1 meetings with direct and indirect reports.

Performance Management:

  • Establish direct reports’ goals and objectives during the bi-annual review process.
  • Direct the collection of performance feedback from customer and engagement/project manager on a quarterly basis or upon completion of project for your entire team.
  • Direct the collection of all internal contributions for team members assuring data is received by HR on a quarterly basis.
  • Drive bi-annual performance review process for the Consulting team.

Skills & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Certification in Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking is required
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Workday Payroll, Absence, & Time Tracking
  • Able to multitask and perform a variety of duties.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to solve customer problems.
  • Good Analytical skills with ability to solve complex incidents, provide suggestions/best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 01/4/2026The annual salary for this position is between $148,824 - $188,193 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
