About City Vision University
City Vision University is a private, nonprofit Christian university dedicated to providing radically affordable, practical education to those serving the poor, addicted, and underserved. Founded in 1998 out of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions, our institution was built with a specific customer in mind: the staff and leaders of rescue missions, Salvation Army centers, and other Christian nonprofits who need accessible higher education to advance their impact. We understand that our students often balance full-time ministry work with their studies, which is why we have designed our programs to be 100% online and highly flexible.
Our mission is to use online education to transform lives through Jesus, Justice, and Technology. We believe that cost should never be a barrier to equipping those who are changing the world, so we have structured our tuition to be a fraction of the cost of other private universities. Our curriculum is deeply integrated with the real-world challenges our students face, offering specialized degrees in Addiction Counseling, Nonprofit Management, Business, and Christian Ministry. By combining accredited academic rigor with practical, spiritual formation, we empower our students to lead their organizations more effectively and bring hope to the communities they serve.
