CI&T is looking for a talented and passionate Senior QA Engineer to join our growing team.
As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for coordinating QA resources for IT projects in a fast-paced environment, assisting in and implementing the test strategy, reviewing requirements as testable, and developing test cases supporting the approved test strategy.
This position will contribute to project efforts for high-quality defect-free deployment according to schedule.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of QA testing experience in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience with defect tracking, test case, and requirements management software, preferably JIRA/Microsoft ADO
- Demonstrated ability to apply a wide range of software test engineering concepts: testing principles and concepts, tracking defects and making corrections, and assessing testing status; tester's role in software development and acquisition, risk analysis, and acceptance testing; test
management, planning processes, design, performance
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to prepare release notices and end-user documentation for technical and non-technical staff
- Ability to work independently to achieve goals in a fast-paced agile RD team
- Serve as a high-level technical resource and “go-to” person for less experienced Engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight
- Thorough knowledge of agile development and its best practices
- Translating business requirements into functional and technical test cases for thorough coverage of new feature(s)
- Creating and executing test scenarios/detailed test cases that clearly articulate test objectives, steps, and expected results. Ensures all application functionality, interfaces with upstream/downstream systems, and error-handling processes perform as expected.
- Ensuring that the defect tracking system is appropriately updated daily and running reports to provide insight into trends and status of team activities
- Assisting development and database teams in troubleshooting complex technical or end-user scenarios
- Generating suitable test data that validate the critical requirements and business rules of the application under test to expose regressive defects
- Guiding team members. Close collaboration with testers and development teams to ensure test cases/plans are being implemented
- Ability to drive testing efforts of multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance / Testing experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- 5+ years of data validation experience
- 5+ years of experience with ADO/JIRA and similar defect-tracking systems
- REST/JSON/XML Testing (Experience with SoapUI)
- Mortgage Experience desired and experience with Empower LOS would be ideal
