Christopherson Business Travel began its journey in 1953, founded by Merrill and Lucille Christopherson. Shortly after its inception, Lucille's brother, John L. Weenig, joined as a manager and part-owner, steering the agency's growth to three locations within Utah. A significant new chapter unfolded in 1981 when Michael A. Cameron and his wife, Camille, acquired a part-ownership position. Their involvement deepened over the years, culminating in their full ownership of the company by March 1990. This marked the beginning of an era of expansion and strategic mergers. In January 2008, Christopherson Business Travel merged with Andavo Travel, a move that positioned the combined entity among the top 20 travel management companies in the United States. The Camerons further solidified their vision in March 2010 by purchasing the business and vacation travel divisions of Andavo Travel. This led to the national branding of the business travel division as Christopherson Business Travel, while the vacation travel and independent contractor division continued under the Andavo Travel name.

The company continued its growth trajectory with strategic acquisitions. At the end of 2013, Christopherson acquired Alabama-based All Seasons Travel. This acquisition saw All Seasons' business travel division absorbed into Christopherson Business Travel, its leisure division integrated into Andavo Travel, and the creation of a new division, All Seasons Sports Travel, specializing in fan-based travel. In 2016, Christopherson expanded its portfolio further by acquiring CV Humanitarian Travel, a division focused on travel services for non-profit and faith-based organizations. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Christopherson Business Travel has established itself as a leader in corporate travel management, recognized for its innovative technology and commitment to customer service. It stands as the largest travel agency in Utah and a significant national affiliate of BCD Travel. Despite challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to office closures and layoffs, the company has continued to adapt, with Josh Cameron, son of CEO Mike Cameron, taking on a more prominent role to navigate the evolving travel landscape. The company remains a certified woman-owned business, dedicated to providing comprehensive travel solutions to over 1,000 companies and organizations nationwide.
