About Us

Chainlabs is a data analytics startup that provides wallet labels to the web3 ecosystem. We identify which organization owns which wallet on the blockchain. As the largest labels database provider in the space, we've mapped over 15,000 on-chain organizations, including exchanges, public figures, darknet markets, stolen addresses, scams and more. Our clients include Analytics Software providers including Chainalysis, Crystal, Nansen, and Coinbase.

Chainlabs has a team of 14 full-time employees working in data labelling, including 3 engineers, 8 intelligence analysts, and 2 analyst team leaders. With 150% year-over-year revenue growth, we aim to expand our product offering. Possible future services include self-serve wallet labels, trade signaling, darknet scraping, OSINT data brokerage, crypto whale alerts, and data analytics for traders.

About the role

After 6 years of running Chainlabs and overseeing its successful exit to Lunar Rails, our Founder Basile is seeking a successor. As the new CEO, you will lead operations, drive hiring, and shape strategy for new product initiatives. This dynamic role involves managing multiple Data Intelligence projects simultaneously. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the Crypto AML Regulation space. The company maintains strong financial stability and strategic independence, and you will be instrumental in shaping the company's long-term vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Take operational command of day -to-day operations, including agile project management and standup calls
• Set challenging and realistic goals for our labelling operations and sales
• Coordinate intelligence analysts and OSINT subject matter experts to achieve our labelling objectives
• Ensure high standards within our data operations by supervising documentation efforts
• Lead the pace and allocate resources for the data labelling RD (technical efforts like those)
• Secure partnerships and sales with other cybersecurity and analytics companies
• Envision, plan and execute new data analytics products using our Wallet Database

Requirements

• Operational leadership experience in a startup environment (technical project / product management, Human and Financial Resource management)
• Experience in either 1) web3 on-chain analytics, or 2) AML / financial cybercrime
• Structured and process-oriented thinker, capable of balancing execution speed and data integrity.
• Entrepreneurial mindset—able to identify new product opportunities and execute on them.
• A data-centric mindset. At Chainlabs, data isn't just a process—it's a mindset. Quality data collection is the foundation of good data analytics. You'll oversee this from start to finish.
• Exceptional attention to detail to set high standards in data collection and documentation.

Nice to haves:

• Strong understanding of blockchain analytics platforms like Chainalysis, TRM, Nansen, and Dune
• Engineering Degree, and/or understanding of relational databases and hands-on data analytics
• Software Project Management experience (managing back and front end engineers)
