Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related discipline is preferred.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in relation to operating systems design and implementation for DoD programs with networked corporate environments using Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, storage systems (e.g. NetApp, EMC), and TCP/IP.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, workstations, and related infrastructure in accordance with PWS requirements.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for Windows environments.
- Apply security patches, updates, and configuration changes to maintain compliance with cybersecurity and organizational standards.
- Support backup, recovery, and continuity of operations processes for Windows-based systems.
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure interoperability across enterprise environments.
- Conduct system upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts to maintain system effectiveness and alignment with mission objectives.
- Provide technical support and root cause analysis for escalated issues affecting Windows platforms.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and configuration baselines.
- Assist with risk management, vulnerability assessments, and remediation of findings within Windows systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, defense, and organizational standards for system security and information assurance.
- Support virtualization, cloud integration, and hybrid environment deployments leveraging Windows technologies.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and reviews related to system performance and compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to junior administrators and staff on Windows system engineering best practices.
