Cavnue

Employee count: 51-200

Salary: 145k-195k USD

United States only

We believe the future of our nation’s roadways is automated, safer, more accessible and enables more efficient movement of people and goods. While billions have been invested into developing vehicle technologies – including advanced driver assistance systems (“ADAS”) and autonomous driving solutions – a small fraction has been spent on developing infrastructure to support and enhance roadways. At Cavnue, we are developing and integrating technologies that will power the world’s most technologically advanced roadways (“cavnues”). Our approach is founded in creating a digital model of the roadway that analyzes and optimizes road conditions in real-time, sharing actionable alerts and providing proactive guidance to vehicles and drivers.

Join us in innovating the roads of the future. Cavnue is bridging vehicle technology and road infrastructure to rapidly deliver safer roads today while accelerating the adoption of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) moving forward. With ongoing deployments in Michigan, Texas, and Georgia, Cavnue is the only company in North America that uses Smart Road technology to improve performance for road operators and deliver a safer, more efficient experience for all road users while preparing for a future with more CAVs. Our mission is to set the new standard for road performance and safety.

  • Proactively identify and implement execution processes to ensure alignment, quality, safety at every program stage.
  • Partner with engineering and commercial teams to support pursuit of new project opportunities for Cavnue
  • Align the teams across the product, project delivery, and technology organizations around design trade-offs, requirements, test, release, triage, and validation plans for successful on-time launches of Cavnue’s system along new roadways.
  • Facilitate the definition and adherence to Operations & Maintenance procedures to ensure high quality performance of Cavnue’s system once installed.
  • Plan schedules, identify risks, communicate with stakeholders, and present program updates to leaders and executives.

  • Self-motivated, creative, and proactive to drive tight schedules and work in time-sensitive environments.
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining buy-in around multi-workstream timelines and delivery plans
  • Expertise with project management tools, software, and best practices (e.g., Atlassian suite, Smartsheet, Lucid).
  • Detailed knowledge of product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to see the big picture across teams, timelines, and inputs, to drive overall “system-level” program delivery
  • Ability to drive cross-functional teams and facilitate technical discussions/issue management and resolution
  • Ability to synthesize and distill often complex and competing inputs into key themes and recommendations
  • Ability to be a hands-on thought partner for the execution teams, not simply a scrum master
  • 6+ years of experience, including 5+ years of Technical Program / Product / Project Management experience along with 3+ years of hands-on engineering experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with technology development & validation (hardware & software systems, high fidelity sensing systems, DevOps, etc.)
  • Familiarity with major infrastructure project delivery (contracting, construction, system installation, system validation, operations & maintenance, etc.)
  • Hands-on technical experience (e.g., Software Engineering, ML / AI, Hardware Engineering, Systems or Civil Engineering) strongly preferredPrevious experience in automotive, autonomous vehicle, ITS / civil engineering, or other “physical & digital” systems engineering strongly preferred
  • Early-stage start-up experience is a plus.

Cavnue is at the forefront of revolutionizing road infrastructure to unlock the full potential of connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs). Many customers and communities face challenges with road safety, traffic congestion, and accessibility to efficient transportation. Cavnue addresses these issues by developing and integrating advanced technologies to create the world's most technologically sophisticated roadways. Our approach centers on building a digital twin of the roadway, a virtual environment that analyzes and optimizes road conditions in real-time. This system shares critical information and provides proactive guidance to both CAVs and human-driven vehicles, significantly enhancing safety, improving traffic flow, and optimizing the overall road operating environment. We understand that the future of mobility hinges on intelligent infrastructure that supports the advanced capabilities of modern vehicles. Billions have been invested in in-vehicle technologies like ADAS and autonomous driving systems, yet comparatively little has been dedicated to the infrastructure that can amplify their benefits. Cavnue is bridging this gap.

Our customers, including public and private road owners and operators, are looking for innovative solutions to prepare for the widespread adoption of CAVs. Cavnue provides the necessary infrastructure technology to enable dedicated CAV laneways, which will power next-generation autonomous mobility for both passenger and freight transportation. By creating smarter roads, we aim to reduce accidents, cut down on time wasted in traffic, and increase access to personal and shared mobility options. This not only improves the daily lives of commuters but also boosts productivity and supports economic growth. Our projects, such as the pioneering CAV corridor in Michigan, demonstrate our commitment to working with states, automotive manufacturers, and technology partners to build a future where transportation is safer, more efficient, and more accessible for everyone. We are dedicated to developing a vehicle manufacturer-neutral technology platform, fostering collaboration to ensure that the benefits of vehicle autonomy can be scaled safely and effectively on public roads.
