Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.
Location: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia or Mexico.
Prepares and maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, financial records; prepares financial statements and reports for assigned companies; analyzes and interprets accounting records.
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Identifies root cause of out of balances, necessary adjustments, timely corrective action (within 90 days), and prepares documentation in support of the reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, various reports, and financial records for assigned companies.
- Prepares, processes, and validates recurring and miscellaneous accounting entries (journals/payments) for month close.
- Assists members of the Company's outside CPA firm as needed during their interim and annual review of the Company's financial records.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts as needed.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- IFRS erporting experience (2-3 years at a minimum)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, lookups) and other accounting software.
- SAP preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
