WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a thoughtful, curious, and high-energy Inbound SDR who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for potential customers. This role is perfect for someone who is excited to engage with warm, inbound leads—people who have already expressed interest in Canto—and help guide them through the early stages of their buying journey.

You’ll respond to demo requests, content downloads, and website inquiries, working quickly to qualify leads, uncover their needs, and schedule discovery calls with our Account Executive team. You’ll become an expert in our platform and market, helping prospects understand how Canto can solve their digital asset management challenges.

THE TEAM:

The Canto Sales Development team is made up of inbound and outbound SDRs who are aligned on one mission: to deliver a frictionless, high-quality experience for every prospect we engage. Our Inbound SDRs are empathetic, efficient, and consultative. They take pride in helping prospects get the answers they need—fast—and teeing up high-quality meetings for our sales team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond quickly and thoughtfully to inbound leads via phone, email, and chat
  • Qualify inbound prospects by understanding their goals, challenges, and timelines
  • Schedule high-quality discovery calls and demos for the Account Executive team
  • Maintain excellent data hygiene and pipeline organization in Salesforce
  • Follow up consistently with leads that aren’t yet ready to talk, staying top of mind with value-driven outreach
  • Deliver authentic, consultative conversations that help prospects feel understood
  • Partner closely with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, trends, and gaps
  • Become an expert in the DAM market, our product, and buyer personas

REQUIRED SKILL SET:

  • College degree preferred
  • 6+ months experience in a customer-facing or lead qualification role
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills
  • Strong organizational habits and ability to manage a fast-moving inbox
  • Experience with Salesforce and modern sales engagement tools preferred
  • Confidence in qualifying leads and asking discovery-style questions
  • A mindset that blends hustle with empathy and curiosity

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Within 1 Month:

  • Complete onboarding and product training
  • Begin shadowing calls and qualifying your first leads
  • Learn Canto’s lead response SLAs and workflows
  • Start contributing to meetings scheduled for the AE team

Within 3 Months:

  • Confidently run qualification calls solo
  • Meet or exceed your monthly Stage 1 opportunity quota
  • Give feedback on what makes a lead “sales-ready”
  • Help surface trends in inbound lead quality and needs

Within 6–12 Months:

  • Be seen as a trusted expert in early-stage prospect conversations
  • Consistently exceed monthly targets
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on lead nurturing strategies
  • Mentor new hires and help scale best practices
  • Prepare to grow into a closing role at Canto
