The journey of Cambrian Homecare began in 1996, born from the vision of Rhiannon Acree, a Registered Nurse with a rich background in the Home Health and Homecare sectors dating back to the mid-1980s. What started as a modest endeavor in Long Beach, California, with just three office workers and about 30 caregivers, has since blossomed into a cornerstone of in-home care. The company was founded on a simple yet profound mission: to provide caring and capable solutions that allow individuals of all ages, from seniors to children and adults with developmental disabilities, to live with dignity and independence in the comfort of their own homes. This mission was deeply personal for Rhiannon, who drew from her own experiences as a nurse, midwife, and public health professional, as well as caring for her own elderly mother. She understood firsthand the complexities of the aging process and the challenges faced by the developmentally disabled, which enabled her to craft a service that was both affordable and flexible to the unique needs of each family.
