Job Title: Marketing Executive- Medical Devices

Position: Fixed Term Contract

Location: Yokohama, Japan

About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Marketing Specialist to support the growth of our Global Regulatory Services (Medical Devices) business in Japan.

Working closely with the APAC Marketing Manager and Commercial Team, you will execute tactical marketing initiatives that directly contribute to increased brand awareness, lead generation, market share, and revenue growth. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role ideal for a marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and KPI-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Planning & Campaign Execution

  • Develop and execute a Japan-specific tactical marketing plan aligned with global strategy

  • Deliver multi-channel campaigns including website updates, email marketing, webinars, trade fairs, roadshows, thought leadership, whitepapers, social media, and client engagement activities

  • Localise global campaigns and content for the Japanese market

Digital & Website Management

  • Optimise and maintain the local website (content localisation and development)

  • Execute SEO and SEA strategies

  • Use marketing automation tools to support campaign execution

Lead Generation & Performance Management

  • Manage marketing databases and customer segmentation

  • Execute end-to-end marketing campaigns

  • Monitor KPIs and measure campaign effectiveness

  • Provide monthly reporting on performance and budget adherence

  • Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement

Events & Market Activities

  • Plan, organise, and manage trade fairs, workshops, and events

  • Conduct post-event follow-up to maximise lead conversion

  • Gather and share insights on local market trends, competitors, and customers

  • Manage relationships with local agencies and service providers

Collaboration

  • Partner closely with local and regional sales teams

  • Align with regional and global marketing teams

  • Recommend country-specific enhancements to global campaigns

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

  • Marketing qualification (e.g., CIM) preferred

  • Digital marketing qualification desirable

Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience executing end-to-end marketing campaigns

  • Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Regulatory marketing preferred

  • Basic knowledge of quality assurance and certification of medical devices

  • Experience with:

    • Marketing automation tools (preferably Pardot)

    • CRM systems (ideally Salesforce.com)

    • Web-based content management systems (e.g., Episerver)

    • Google Analytics and web analytics tools

    • SEO and SEA strategies

    • Social media platforms (especially LinkedIn)

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English

  • Strong organisational, analytical, and time-management skills

  • Proficiency in Excel; Tableau experience preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset

  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment

  • Proactive team player with strong goal orientation (KPIs will be defined and monitored)
