Job Title: eLearning Content Developer

Location: United Kingdom – remote

Due to growth, BSI’s Assurance Academy have a new and exciting opportunity for an eLearning Content Developer to join their existing team on a full-time and permanent basis. This is a remote position however, the ideal candidate will reside within the UK, as occasional travel may be required for team meetings and projects.

About the role:

In this role, you will design and deliver high-quality on-demand eLearning material that will engage and educate your internal audience. Partnering with internal teams and subject matter experts, you will design and deliver a combination of interactive courses, assessments, activities, and simulations that support colleagues and stakeholders. By integrating multimedia elements, sound instructional design practices, and adult learning principles, you will develop impactful learning experiences that drive measurable and meaningful outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that eLearning content is well structured, engaging, interactive, and pitched at the appropriate level.

  • Ensure that training development processes and guidelines are followed.

  • Work closely with instructional designers and other internal departments to deliver projects on time.

  • Use practical examples, case studies, and scenarios to achieve desired learning outcomes.

  • Ensure the courses are responsive and accessible to all learners, promoting equal opportunities for learner experiences.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies related to eLearning development and instructional design.

  • Recommend new course design solutions, development methods, and delivery styles.

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in eLearning development, including experience in developing interactive simulations, videos, and scenarios.

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Instructional Design concepts e.g. ADDIE.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Learning Methodologies e.g. Accelerated Learning.

  • Strong knowledge of eLearning development tools e.g. Articulate Storyline (essential), Adobe Captivate, and similar authoring tools.

  • Extensive use of MS Office suites e.g. PowerPoint and Word.

  • Experience with Adobe e.g. Photoshop would be an advantage.

  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent command of the English language, including the use of grammar, punctuation and writing styles.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to troubleshoot course design and development problems.

  • Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Experience in lesson and/or curriculum planning.

  • Knowledge of ISO standards and certifications would be an advantage but not essential.
