In this pivotal role, you will architect the Analog/RF portion of our CMOS SoCs that drives cutting-edge photonics components, targeting data centers and edge AI applications. You will collaborate closely with our cross-disciplinary engineering teams to model and analyze system-level performance
This role requires a deep expertise in high-frequency systems-on-chip (SoCs), high-speed (40+ GHz) electro-optic interfaces, silicon photonics, and 3D integration technologies. You will work alongside engineering, product, and sales teams, and engage directly with customers to ensure our products meet deployment requirements. Additionally, you will support the product team in modeling critical use cases and analyzing Return-on-Investment for various architectural features
- Fully document the Analog/RF Product Requirement Specification (PRS) per product, including architecture design, verification, tools, and estimations for performance, power, and area (PPA)
- Architect high-speed (50G and beyond) analog/mixed-signal circuit blocks customized for optical transceivers, such as drivers, TIAs, equalizers, ADC/DACs, PLLs, and CDRs, in collaboration with the engineering design team
- Fully document the Analog IP roadmap aligned with our technology capabilities and EDA/contractor partnerships
- Fully document the Customer Requirement Document (CRD) per customer engagement
- Contribute to the SOC concept and feasibility documents, describing the explored solution space and providing recommendations on final architecture
- Fully document use cases, and validation plans for the recommended architecture
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience characterizing own designs in a laboratory environment using the latest high-speed equipment
- Minimum 10 years of expertise in signal processing and signal integrity for optical communication systems
- Minimum 10 years of experience architecting multiple heterogeneous SoCs utilizing modern packaging technologies
- At-least 5 years of experience in high-speed serial datacom, RF, and/or mm-wave design for optical/electrical communications
- At-least 5 years of experience designing and testing optical front-end receivers and transmitters (TIAs, drivers) in advanced CMOS technologies
- knowledge of the latest interconnect standards, including PCIe, UCIe, CXL, and UXL
