Senior Financial Analyst, Incentive Compensation & Pricing - Remote

We enable our customers to build intuitive and engaging stores to support every stage of their growth. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst on our Financial Planning & Analysis team. The Senior Financial Analyst is a trusted advisor on company wide financial matters. You will analyze data and develop recommendations that will drive business decisions and BigCommerce’s growth. The FP&A team at BigCommerce provides the opportunity to work on a diverse set of projects outside of normal responsibilities, enabling extensive full P&L and widespread FP&A experience. To be successful as a senior financial analyst, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.

What You’ll Do:

• Be a trusted business partner and advisor to your client organization(s) in matters related to financial planning & analysis with minimal oversight from FP&A senior leadership
• Design and recommend incentive compensation policies based on industry best practices and competitive landscape
• Identify and select key performance metrics for sales compensation based on industry standards.Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to develop and adjust pricing models for SaaS products
• Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to define pricing structures for new and existing products
• Identify key areas of pricing improvement and potential pricing actions. Provide recommendations and analysis around pricing
• Own pricing recommendations for all new products, including owned, licensed, and acquired products
• You will work closely with business partners and get exposure to senior leaders while you become a subject matter expert
• Perform analysis in collaboration with the analytics and operations teams and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Take ownership in financial planning and analysis processes with metrics and data insights for financial risks, opportunities, and investment decisions
• Build and implement new reporting for go to market leaders in specific regions
• Present monthly performance during meetings to the leadership team for your respective areas of responsibility
• Perform ad hoc ROI analysis and develop recommendations on next steps
• Prepare executive-level management reporting, summarizing findings and recommendations

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of financial analysis experience experient and currently a Senior Financial Analyst or experienced analyst with extensive experience in forecasting, incentive compensation, pricing, operations, data analysis, and reporting
• BS or BA in Accounting, Finance or Economics is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a creative outlook on how to get results - thrives in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated experience working with and managing multiple tasks in a very fast paced deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detailStrong data presentation skills to the Senior Leadership Team
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem solving skills (will be subject to a case study)
• Exceptional excel modeling skills (will be subject to Excel test)
• Strong attention to detail with focus on financial forecasting accuracy
• Ability to partner and influence business leaders - proven teamwork skills
• Self starter and passion for making an impact
• Experience with compensation software, forecasting, and CRM systems (e.g. CaptivateIQ, Salesforce, Workday HR, Adaptive, and Tableau)
• Demonstrated knowledge of pricing analysis and industry evaluations
• Previous SAAS or ecommerce and public company experience is preferred
