The Business Operations Director is a leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence in the planning and execution of critical tasks to optimize the performance of BeOne’s in-market portfolio.

Reporting to the Country General Manager, this role leads the coordination and execution of projects to ensure the effective delivery of internal and external initiatives and events. Working closely with the Country General Manager and the local Leadership Team, the position monitors performance, timelines and budget and resource management to enable smooth execution, innovation, clear governance and cross-functional alignment.

The role also oversees operational planning processes and leads business critical, cross functional workstreams, analytics and Sales Force Effectiveness activities. Additional responsibilities include providing operational support for congresses, events, and training programs, , and ensuring timely follow-up on leadership team actions.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Provide strategic insight and direction to develop current and new business opportunities and maximize growth potential in the countries.

OPERATIONAL PLANNING & EXECUTION

  • Act as a key operational partner to the General Manager and senior leadership, translating country, regional and global priorities into annual operational plans KPIs and milestones.

  • Identify and implement cross functional workstreams to enhance operational excellence and performance for future business state

  • Coordinate Business Reviews, by setting agendas, aligning stakeholders on submission timelines, and tracking follow-up actions.

  • Partner cross-functionally with TAL, Marketing Director, GM and Finance to drive the creation of consolidated, priority-aligned Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP).

  • Establish realistic goals and implement action plans to achieve agreed objectives, monitoring progress and ensuring appropriate remediation plans are established and executed as needed.

  • Supervise the execution of approved initiatives and projects, ensuring timelines, resources and budgets are effectively managed to successfully complete the projects.

EXCELLENCE & ANALYTICS

  • Define and monitor KPIs reporting frameworks and support the implementation of digital tools and business analytics dashboards to ensure visibility and accountability for operational and commercialization performance tracking.

  • Provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making across business operations and field activities.

  • In collaboration with above-country groups, drive Medical Excellence & Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) processes, including activity tracking, performance monitoring, target setting support and incentive-related analytics.

  • Develop and lead innovative solutions for healthcare (ISH) creating added value projects

    supporting the strategy.

  • Drive continuous improvement programs supported by data analytics and business insights.

CONGRESSES, EVENTS & TRAINING

  • Coordinate congress and event planning within the country closely liaising with key internal stakeholders

  • Coordinate internal company events

  • Lead cross-training and competency programs supporting business operations excellence.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ALIGNMENT

  • Serve as the operational interface across commercial, medical and corporate functions to ensure alignment and execution efficiency.

  • Facilitate cross-functional operational meetings and reviews.

  • Act as liaison between local teams and European/Global functions for projects, events and operational topics.

  • Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Legal/Compliance and other corporate functions.

  • Support effective internal communication across the organization.

TEAM MANAGEMENT AND TALENT DEVELOPMENT

  • Supervise and support team members within the business operations function. Promote a culture of trust, professional growth, and impact-oriented performance.

  • Influence talent planning and organizational capability development to ensure the team’s operational readiness and resilience.

  • Provide feedback, advice project updates and encouragement to team members

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages training and or Innovation Solution

  • Manages the Country coordinatorteam

  • Manages Congress & Events

  • Manages country business analytics

  • Manages project management

Qualifications & Capabilities

  • Experience in Oncology or Hemato-Oncology is highly desirable

  • +10 years of qualified work experience in project management and related operations management areas and demonstrable planning, project management and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence in pharma companies

  • Highly self-motivated, solution-oriented with an ability to work both with light-touch supervision and as part of a team environment

  • Strong leadership and time, task and resource management skills

  • Success-, service-, and commercial-oriented thinking and working

  • Exceptional communication skills and thought leadership - a problem solver and critical thinker

Computer Skills: PC, including MS Office Suite

Other Qualifications: Fluency in both verbal and written German and English necessary; any other major European language of advantage

Travel: Approximately 20-30% of time
