Position Type: Full-time, working35-40 hoursper week, Monday–Friday.

WhatYou’llDo:
The Full-Time Operations Specialist is a key member of our European Operations team. This role oversees the management and maintenance of the van fleet, coordinates equipment loading and unloading, and ensures smooth logistical operations that support flawless Backroads trip execution. The position blends administrative responsibility with hands-on operational work and offers strong potential for long-term career growth within Backroads, including:
• Team Leadership: Manage a small team of seasonal & full-time operations coordinators and provide leadership in all van fleet management tasks.
• Van Fleet Leasing & Restitution: Help negotiate van lease contracts with dealerships; manage onboarding and restitution of vans.
• Van Fleet Operations: Manage andmaintainour fleet of vans, ensuring they are properly stocked, serviced, and in top condition for each trip.
• Unit Load Management: Supervise van preloading, ensuring all necessary equipment and inventory are included and meet quality standards.
• Inventory & Service Supervision: Oversee inventory management, service schedules, and the handling of minor maintenance issues on the vans.
• Winter and Seasonal Projects: Oversee seasonal projects such as mid-season maintenance, winter bike overhaul, winter projects, and end-of-season maintenance.
• Coordination with Field Staff: Communicate regularly with field staff to ensure operational issues are addressed quickly.
• Warehouse Management: Organize the warehouse, including receiving/sending packages,operatinga forklift, and overseeing inventory checks.
• Logistics Support: Assist in coordination of van arrivals/departures, schedules, shipping, and ATA carnets.
Who You Are:
• A proactive andsolutions-oriented professional who enjoys combining hands-on operational work with planning and coordination.
• A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
• A team player who takes ownership and strives for continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications:
• Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong command of English; knowledge of Czech is a plus
• Experience with van driving and maneuvering trailers
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs(approx. 23 kg)
• Clean driving record
•Previouswarehouse or operations experience is a plus
• Forklift operation experience is a plus
