What You'll Do:

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our PMO team, with focus on driving technical project/program management and cross-functional operating practices for Cloud Operations, Engineering, CTO, Security, Product Management and company-wide.

• In this technical role, you will drive program and project planning and execution, and will manage objectives, deliverables, risks and dependencies across multiple programs and teams
• Ensure cross-functional alignment on program and initiatives goals, strategy, scope, timelines, decisions and outcomes
• Apply your “T” in TPM (technical skillset) as an active contributor in technical requirements and design conversations with the project teams
• Ensure strong lines of communication and regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
• Contribute to central delivery portfolio management practices for Backblaze, which includes overseeing the delivery pipeline for your programs and initiatives across a shared cross-organizational roadmap, from incoming requests to evaluation/discovery to successful delivery
• Represent your programs and initiatives in quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning practice
• Foster a culture of transparency and trust, apply lean value-driven approach, manage by influence, support and empower technical teams through servant leadership
• In partnership with other TPMs, participate in implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives across teams and departments

The Right Fit:

• 5+ years of technical delivery leadership experience
• Strong technical background with design and implementation of scalable systems
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable with operating in high uncertainty environments, ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and teams into a structured plan
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage by influence, identify underlying issues, solve problems and conflicts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Agile practices (Agile at Scale a plus)
• Experience with Project and Portfolio Planning tooling (Jira, Smartsheet, Aha!)), Atlassian & Google product suites
