Innovation Project Manager (M/F/D)

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Innovation Manager who will be responsible for Planning, Coordinating, Overseeing & Delivering completion of Avantor projects designed to optimise Lab & Production Service workstreams at key customer sites based in the Europe.

This will be a hybrid role based either in the UK or Sweden.

The role will comprise a flexible approach to working patterns & although predominantly home based, there will be up to 20% travel required, as visits to the customer site at various stages of projects will be necessary.

The Project Manager will be the key point of contact for all project stakeholders and the role will involve interactions with internal Avantor colleagues from various disciplines, including Lab & Production Services, IT, Legal & Digital Solutions, as well as engagement with customer site stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: vast experience within Project Management from pharma/science related background
• Project Management accreditation and/or proven project management experience of approaches, tools and phase management, throughout a project lifecycle
• Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
• Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
• Software knowledge relating to Project Management Applications & demonstrated experience
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Stakeholder management experience
• Problem solving and root cause identification skills
• Ability to converse effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Team player with capabilities to work autonomously as required
• Self-motivated, approachable & able to hold others to account on project delivery milestone
• Collaboration tool: MS office, Excel at a high standard and SAP highly desirable but not essential

How you will thrive and create an impact

• Responsible for planning, overseeing & driving digital and innovation projects to completion through a series of meetings, encompassing all relevant stakeholders & associated project activities
• Able to travel to customer site(s) as required, potentially up to 20% of working hours, main travel will be between UK & Sweden
• Hold all internal and external stakeholders to account with regards project delivery & manage micro level planning at departmental level, to ensure each stakeholder group delivers on their project commitments
• Update project status via weekly meetings (On/Off Track) and isolate & identify project workstreams that are behind target
• Project budget management & tracking of attributable costs
• Some hands-on support around device/application management may be required
• Support Change Management aspects of the project & impacted associate communication
• Regular meetings with the wider EU SLT to discuss project progression, areas of concern & projected delivery timelines
