The Finance Business Partner will be a strategic partner to the US Marketing leadership team by implementing data driven analytics and scaling financial processes + reporting for Avalere Health’s largest division. They will partner with finance and business leaders to drive reporting and analytics across the business and provide actionable insights. This role has regular exposure to Marketing, commercial and finance senior leaders and will play an active role in supporting and communicating the business strategy and financial management.
What You'll Do
- BUSINESS PARTNER:
- Partner with project delivery and client service leadership teams to track project revenue, staffing allocations and build key performance indicators to ensure financial statements align with business performance
- Provide actionable analysis, insights, and recommendations to maximize financial performance that support commercial decision-making
- Support business as required with new client pricing and staff planning
- PLANNING AND REPORTING:
- Lead and coordinate the planning (budgets and reforecasts) and reporting processes for US Marketing
- Produce and present high quality & timely divisional weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, analytics and key metrics to Marketing and finance leadership
- Review and comment on the divisional financial results including key performance indicators and metrics that drive divisional performance to support leadership and board presentations
- Drive change and lead transformation process to establish a best-in-class finance reporting function through technological, process, analysis, and reporting improvements
- ACCOUNTING AND CONTROLS:
- Lead monthly financial reporting and revenue recognition process across workforce management and financial systems
- Liaise with Corporate FP&A, Human Resources and accounting to ensure data accuracy
- Collaborate with accounting / controllership to ensure financial processes and procedures operate within a strong control environment and ensure regulatory compliance
- Own financial reporting timetable in liaison with Controllership and participate and contribute to annual audit for group and local entities
About You
- 5+ years’ experience as a finance business partner or graduate of finance leadership rotational program with strong technical & leadership skills able to operate in a fast paced and challenging environment
- Excellent time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-starter, organized and able to priorities effectively and work through ambiguity while committed to simplification and continuous improvement
- High attention to detail with 'big picture' awareness
- Compelling influencing skills
- Positive outlook and generates enthusiasm and energy with a determined, can-do approach
- Proficient with Microsoft Office packages, Adobe WorkFront and Oracle NetSuite (desirable)
