THE ROLE

AG1 is looking for a Data Analyst to support our B2B and Retail Partnerships teams by leveraging data insights, visualization, and analytics to drive business growth. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Science and Analytics, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze trends, develop reporting solutions, and provide actionable insights that optimize retail and B2B partner performance.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and data-driven analyst who enjoys solving business problems, building reports, and translating complex data into clear insights. You’ll help shape AG1’s approach to retail and B2B partnerships by supporting data needs across sales, distribution, and partner performance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Analyze retail and B2B performance data to identify actionable trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement that directly influence strategic decision-making.
  • Develop SQL queries and data pipelines to aggregate, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring high-quality, accurate datasets.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau (or other BI tools) to give stakeholders clear visibility into partner performance, sales, and key metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, partnerships, and DIT teams, providing data-driven recommendations and real-time reporting.
  • Own tracking of key performance metrics (KPIs) for retail and B2B initiatives as defined by leadership.
  • Collaborate with leadership on forecasting and planning by integrating historical performance data with market trends to guide strategic decisions and resource allocation.
  • Model shopper behavior (e.g., lifetime value) and analyze promotional activities (discounts, coupons, endcaps) to measure sales lift and foot traffic impact.
  • Regularly communicate findings and recommendations via dashboards, presentations, and written summaries to ensure stakeholders understand and can act on the insights.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to maintain robust, reliable data pipelines and implement data quality checks.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders, delivering insights in a timely and accurate manner.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics, preferably in retail, B2B partnerships, or sales analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with syndicated data services (e.g., Circana, NielsenIQ, GfK, Kantar) and specialized platforms (e.g., 84.51°, Walmart Luminate, Crisp) for POS and consumer insights.
  • Experience working with POS data and analysis projects related to generating shopper insights, market & category benchmarking and promotional effectiveness.
  • Proficient in SQL, with experience querying large datasets in cloud-based environments like Snowflake or AWS.
  • Skilled in data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and Excel/Google Sheets for exploratory analysis and dashboard creation.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for various audiences.
  • Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data from diverse sources, with a strong problem-solving mentality.
  • Highly curious and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving analytical challenges.
  • Experience working with sales or retail analytics, partner performance metrics, or B2B reporting.
  • Bonus: Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics and statistical modeling.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $100,000 - $125,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.

In 2023, the company officially rebranded from Athletic Greens to AG1, aligning the company name with its singular, well-known product and signaling its evolution beyond a simple 'greens' powder. Kat Cole, who joined as President and COO in 2021, was appointed CEO in July 2024, succeeding Ashenden who remains on the board. Today, AG1 continues to focus on its mission of empowering people to take ownership of their health through foundational nutrition, with its core product AG1 at the forefront of its offerings.
