ASRC Federal’s Summer Technology Readiness Intern Development Experience (STRIDE) offers undergraduate college students the chance to apply their technological interests and knowledge to exciting real-world missions.
We are seeking a Software Developer Intern to support our NOAA government customer. This role is a temporary, remote position.
Work location: Remote (Must live in the United States (excluding U.S. territories))
Security: Must be a US Citizen to successfully complete a government issued background investigation to access to customer site (must have lived continuously in the continental United States for the past three years).
Program dates: 10-week summer internship, June 1 – August 6, 2026 Hours: 32 hours per week
Summary: This opportunity supports our NOAA customer’s needs to have to tool that handles financial predictions and analytics for stewarding funds to the right missions throughout the government fiscal year. You will be a part of a small team that supports large customer base with our financial analytical application as a full-stack developer specifically working on our Help AI Companion and enhancing our help system full stack observability with additional metrics and alerting.
Key Role:
- Basic knowledge of AWS
- Coursework in areas including software development, object-oriented analysis and design with languages to include Python, Java, JavaScript, node.js, and React
- Ability to be a full-stack developer
- Understanding of automated test
- Exposure to Agile and DevSecOps practices and tools
- Experience working in a team environment
- Ability to work remotely while still being accountable for learning and task management
- Good written and spoken communication including developing technical documentation
- Responsible with strong technical skills and an ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and be self-guided in a remote environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Agile systems and/or bug tracking systems such as Atlassian Jira.
- Data analysis skills
- Basic understanding of version control and code repository management
Interns will work closely with dedicated mentors and managers, fostering meaningful connections within our company while exploring a range of technology disciplines. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects developed by our tech experts. While extensive work experience is not required, a commitment to learning and a genuine passion for emerging technological advancements are essential.
