The Senior Data Security Engineer will be a key player in safeguarding our client’s data landscape. This role requires a rare blend of deep technical expertise in modern Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and traditional infrastructure security.

You will be responsible for leading the implementation and management of security protocols, ensuring that data remains protected across complex, multi-cloud environments. Your mission is to bridge the gap between high-level compliance frameworks and hands-on technical execution.

What you will do:

Data Security Posture Management (The Priority)

• MUST HAVE: extensive hands-on experience with the Cyera Data Security Posture Management platform.
• Implement data discovery, classification, and protection strategies using Cyera to minimize sensitive data exposure.
• Conduct continuous risk assessments of the data landscape to ensure visibility and control.

Infrastructure & Network Defense

• Apply expert knowledge to harden systems and OS environments, ensuring robust defense-in-depth.
• Manage and optimize network security technologies, including application/OS hardening, firewalls (network & application), and IDS/IPS.
• Design and execute security risk-assessment protocols, including vulnerability testing and penetration testing.

Program Management & Governance

• Leverage your program management abilities to lead complex security initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align security initiatives with NIST SP800, ISO 27001, and CIS Critical Controls.
• Recognize and implement policies within the context of a dynamic, customer-oriented, for-profit business environment.

Tools & Technologies:

• Primary Tool: Cyera (Mandatory).
• Infrastructure: Firewalls (WAF/NGFW), Network Protocols, IDS, Application Hardening.
• Testing: Vulnerability scanners, Pentesting tools, Social Engineering simulation.
• Compliance: CIS Critical Controls, NIST SP800, ISO 27001.

What you bring:

• Experience: 8+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 6+ years specifically as a Security Analyst or equivalent.
• Cyera Mastery: Proven track record of managing data security via the Cyera platform.
• Strategic Influence: Proven ability to influence teams, interface with stakeholders at all levels, and act independently.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to translate complex security risks into business-oriented solutions.
• Education & Certs: BS/BA in a security-related field. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, or CGEIT are highly preferred.
• Bonus: Foreign language skills are a plus.
