Manager, Desktop Engineering

Applied is seeking an experienced Manager of Desktop Engineering to lead a team focused on managing and enhancing corporate desktop environments. The role involves strategic direction, operational excellence, and maintaining Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experience within a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in IT, focusing on desktop engineering, systems administration, or end-user computing
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Extensive experience managing a diverse, multi-platform environment (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Expert knowledge of modern endpoint management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune/SCCM, Jamf Pro, Kandji)
• Strong experience with automated OS deployment technologies (e.g., Windows Autopilot, Apple Automated Device Enrollment/DEP)
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Solid understanding of core IT infrastructure (Active Directory, Azure AD, networking protocols)
