We’re looking for a Senior hands-on Azure engineer with real MSP experience who can own complex cloud and identity projects end-to-end. This person should be equally comfortable building Azure infrastructure, migrating on-prem AD to Entra ID, hardening Microsoft 365 tenants, and jumping in as a senior escalation resource when things break.

The ideal candidate has led Azure and M365 migrations, understands identity-first security, can manage SQL at the infrastructure level, and has worked in environments where project work and incident response are mixed. We are not looking for a junior admin, a portal-only cloud engineer, or someone limited to a single discipline.
This role requires strong technical depth, customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced MSP/MSSP environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not an architecture-only or helpdesk position.

What This Role Is Not
  • Not a Tier 1/2 helpdesk role
  • Not a pure architect role
  • Not a DBA or data-focused SQL role
  • Not limited to one technology silo

What You’ll Do

  • Azure Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering
    • Design, deploy, and optimize Azure IaaS environments (VMs, storage, networking)
    • Perform server sizing, performance tuning, and cost optimization
    • Build and manage Azure networking (VNETs, peering, NSGs, private endpoints)
    • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and availability strategies
  • Identity, Entra ID & Tenant Projects
    • Migrate on-prem Active Directory environments to Azure / Entra ID
    • Design and manage hybrid identity (AD Connect / Cloud Sync)
    • Lead user credential transitions and authentication changes
    • Configure Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, and tenant security baselines
    • Perform tenant hardening and security configuration projects
  • Migrations & Modernization
    • Lift-and-shift on-prem workloads to Azure using Azure Migrate, ASR, or manual methods
    • Google Workspace → Microsoft 365 migrations (mail, data, identity)
    • Assess legacy systems and dependencies to plan successful migrations
    • Coordinate technical execution across stakeholders and end users
  • SQL & Application Infrastructure
    • Manage SQL Server infrastructure (install, patch, backup, performance basics)
    • Support SQL workloads running on Azure IaaS
    • Collaborate with application teams (not responsible for data modeling)
  • Security & Automation
    • Implement Microsoft Defender for Cloud and related security tooling
    • Apply infrastructure and identity hardening best practices
    • Assist with system automation and integrations using PowerShell, Graph, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools
  • MSP Operations & Escalation
    • Act as a senior escalation resource for complex incidents
    • Assist helpdesk and project teams with rapid issue resolution
    • Balance project delivery with incident response as needed
    • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate with US-based teams.
  • 7+ years overall IT infrastructure experience
  • 4+ years hands-on Azure experience in production environments
  • Strong experience with:
    • Azure IaaS (VMs, networking, storage)
    • Entra ID / Azure AD
    • Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid)
    • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Proven experience leading migrations end-to-end
  • Strong troubleshooting and escalation skills
  • Comfortable working in an MSP or consulting-style environment

Benefits

  • Fun team activities every month to build strong bonds.
  • This is a remote job. However, if you want to come to the office we're located in a great area, with plenty to enjoy nearby (El Golf, Las Condes).
  • Snacks and drinks are always stocked in the office.
  • Weekly team lunches to recharge and connect.
  • You’ll work closely with high-caliber US-based companies.
  • Comprehensive health and dental insurance to keep you covered.
  • Wellness activities reimbursement.

Drawing from Clark and Steve's experience at Freedom Robotics, where they helped scale from a 6-person startup to $2.5 million in ARR enterprise contracts, Andes Path was born from a crucial insight: traditional development agencies weren't solving the real problems scaling companies faced. The founders realized companies needed more than just code - they needed operational partners who would embed themselves full-time, fix broken processes, and implement best practices that accelerated long-term growth. They built Andes Path to go beyond being a typical development agency, acting as strategic leaders who join teams in Slack, own outcomes like internal leads, and leave behind maintainable code and documented processes.

Today, with a team of engineers, designers, and PMs based in Santiago, Chile working US hours, Andes Path combines product-first thinking, tight feedback loops, and clean code to help companies ship the right software. From building robotics fleet software and CV pipelines to scaling enterprise SaaS used by Fortune 500s, they don't just advise - they transform products and engineering teams through hands-on leadership. The company's DNA is embedded, not external, ensuring that every engagement delivers systems and people that move quicker than before they arrived.
