The ideal candidate has led Azure and M365 migrations, understands identity-first security, can manage SQL at the infrastructure level, and has worked in environments where project work and incident response are mixed. We are not looking for a junior admin, a portal-only cloud engineer, or someone limited to a single discipline.

- Not a DBA or data-focused SQL role

What You’ll Do
- Azure Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering
- Design, deploy, and optimize Azure IaaS environments (VMs, storage, networking)
- Perform server sizing, performance tuning, and cost optimization
- Build and manage Azure networking (VNETs, peering, NSGs, private endpoints)
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and availability strategies
- Identity, Entra ID & Tenant Projects
- Migrate on-prem Active Directory environments to Azure / Entra ID
- Design and manage hybrid identity (AD Connect / Cloud Sync)
- Lead user credential transitions and authentication changes
- Configure Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, and tenant security baselines
- Perform tenant hardening and security configuration projects
- Migrations & Modernization
- Lift-and-shift on-prem workloads to Azure using Azure Migrate, ASR, or manual methods
- Google Workspace → Microsoft 365 migrations (mail, data, identity)
- Assess legacy systems and dependencies to plan successful migrations
- Coordinate technical execution across stakeholders and end users
- SQL & Application Infrastructure
- Manage SQL Server infrastructure (install, patch, backup, performance basics)
- Support SQL workloads running on Azure IaaS
- Collaborate with application teams (not responsible for data modeling)
- Security & Automation
- Implement Microsoft Defender for Cloud and related security tooling
- Apply infrastructure and identity hardening best practices
- Assist with system automation and integrations using PowerShell, Graph, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools
- MSP Operations & Escalation
- Act as a senior escalation resource for complex incidents
- Assist helpdesk and project teams with rapid issue resolution
- Balance project delivery with incident response as needed
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate with US-based teams.
- 7+ years overall IT infrastructure experience
- 4+ years hands-on Azure experience in production environments
- Strong experience with:
- Azure IaaS (VMs, networking, storage)
- Entra ID / Azure AD
- Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid)
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Proven experience leading migrations end-to-end
- Strong troubleshooting and escalation skills
- Comfortable working in an MSP or consulting-style environment
