About Alteia
Alteia's story began when Delair, a drone manufacturer, recognized that the enormous quantity of imagery its hardware captured could create value beyond individual flight operations. The company spun its Enterprise AI solutions into a dedicated business, Alteia, so organizations could ingest, analyze, and operationalize visual data at enterprise scale. That separation allowed the team to focus on turning images, point clouds, videos, and other geospatial datasets into practical intelligence for infrastructure operators and other data-intensive businesses.
Alteia developed the Æther Platform, an environment for preparing visual data, labeling imagery, building and managing AI models without code, validating results, and publishing predictive insights into enterprise systems. Applications addressed grid lifecycle management, mining productivity, worksite management, vegetation planning, environmental monitoring, and field-trial analysis. Customers included Enedis, Eramet, Veolia, and Orange. Following GE Vernova's acquisition of Alteia, its software was offered through the larger organization as GridOS Visual Intelligence, while Alteia continued to serve as a distinct business within GE Vernova.
