Almanak Blockchain Labs is a data science and research-oriented company dedicated to understanding and designing the next generation of AI-driven web3.

The team is developing a permissionless E2E platform for building, training, optimizing, and deploying autonomous web3 financial agents.

The team seeks a talented Quantitative Researcher to join Almanak's R&D and Enterprise Trading Team.

In this role, you'll create and implement quantitative models for trading strategies and be at the forefront of AI agent applications in crypto trading.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & implement quantitative models for trading strategies.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and data mining on large datasets.
  • Perform back-testing and optimization of trading strategies.
  • Collaborate with traders and developers to implement and refine models.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the performance of trading strategies.
  • Research and create new signals, new risk models and more efficient techniques for optimization & execution.

Requirements

  • Min. Three years of experience in Python programming, with a strong emphasis on data science libraries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning applied in practical scenarios.
  • Proven experience in developing and optimizing algorithmic trading systems.
  • Practical knowledge in DeFi and blockchain interactions, preferably with Ethereum protocols.
  • Understanding of traditional financial markets is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with backtesting libraries to test and validate trading models against historical data.
  • Ability to design and manage strategies for arbitrage and market-making.
  • Proficiency in smart contract programming, specifically using Solidity or Vyper for blockchain platform implementations.
