The story of Alma Lasers, initially founded as MSQ in 1999 by four founders in a small office, is one of relentless innovation and a vision to become a global leader in medical aesthetic technologies. From these humble beginnings, the company embarked on a journey to develop cutting-edge, practical solutions for both practitioners and patients worldwide. A significant early milestone was the release of its first diode laser hair removal platform, the Mythos 500, in 2002. This was quickly followed in 2003 by the introduction of a pioneering multi-application aesthetic treatment platform based on Alma's patented Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT), an advanced iteration of IPL technology. The company continued its technological advancements, launching its UniPolar Technology in 2004, becoming only the second company globally to harness radiofrequency for aesthetic treatments – a proprietary technology that remains unique in the industry. Further cementing its reputation for innovation, Alma harnessed ultrasound technology for body contouring treatments in 2007 and developed the iTED skin barrier breakthrough solution in 2011.

A pivotal moment in Alma's growth trajectory came in 2013 when it was acquired by Fosun Pharma, a leading healthcare group in China, through the incorporation of an Israeli holding company named Sisram Medical. This acquisition provided Alma with an excellent platform for expansion, particularly in Asia. Underscoring its international success, Sisram Medical became the first Israeli company to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2017. Over its more than two decades of operation, Alma Lasers has established itself as a world-leading provider of energy-based solutions for the surgical, medical aesthetics, and beauty markets, with a global presence in over 90 countries. The company prides itself on its robust research and development capabilities, with 16% of its employees being R&D specialists, enabling a shorter time-to-market for its innovative products compared to industry standards. Alma's commitment to science and its customer-centric approach have resulted in numerous award-winning products and technologies that are considered the gold standard in the medical aesthetic industry, transforming lives by enabling practitioners to deliver safe, effective, and life-enhancing treatments.
