Controller

AeroVect is seeking a Controller to own the accounting function end-to-end and build it from the ground up, responsible for financial statements, revenue recognition, and hardware COGS accounting, with 6-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years at a venture-backed startup.

Requirements

• Own the full monthly and annual close process
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements for board and investor reporting
• Manage intercompany transactions and consolidation across US, UK, and Canadian entities
• Own revenue recognition for a mixed hardware and software business with recurring revenue
• Manage hardware COGS accounting including inventory, BOM costing, and depreciation schedules
• Evaluate, select, and implement a modern ERP and supporting finance tools
• Build automated workflows to streamline close processes, reconciliations, and reporting
• Coordinate with external tax advisors for compliance
• Manage debt facility reporting
• Establish and maintain internal controls
• Prepare for and support external audit readiness
• Prepare a month end close package
