Job Description

Our client is a top-tier IT service provider in the German banking industry, supporting over 800 cooperative banks with secure, innovative digital solutions. We play a key role in enabling their digital workplace transformation by delivering scalable Citrix-based infrastructure that ensures performance, compliance, and security across a complex financial ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Virtual Workspace Stability: Ensure a robust, high-availability Citrix VDI infrastructure for thousands of users across Germany using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD 1912 and above), PVS, Citrix ADC, Windows Server (2016 and above), and Hyper-V/SCVMM.
• Security & Compliance: Implement secure remote access solutions that meet strict regulatory requirements using Citrix Gateway, MFA, Certificates and Azure AD integrations.
• User-Centric Optimization: Enhance performance and user experience through profile tuning and resource optimization with Citrix Director and Citrix Profile Management.
• Automation & Monitoring: Maintain system stability and enable rapid issue resolution by leveraging PowerShell, Citrix Studio, and Dynatrace for automation and monitoring.
• Agile Collaboration: Deliver scalable and secure infrastructure solutions by working in agile teams with architects and DevOps engineers, following ITIL methodologies.

Qualifications

Must have

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in enterprise environments
• Strong Knowledge on Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS), multi-farm deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Network (DNS\DHCP) and Group Policy configuration
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management
• Skilled in troubleshooting Citrix environments, including apps, sessions, performance, and connectivity issues
• Experience with user profile management, session tuning, and end-user support best practices
• Effective communicator in both German and English, with familiarity in ITIL-based processes (incident/change/problem)

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Automic (UC4) can be a real plus, especially if you've dealt with scheduled jobs or Citrix-related maintenance workflows.

• Familiarity with SCCM is an asset, particularly for managing application deployments and maintaining up-to-date Citrix environments.

• Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS) is a great advantage, especially if you've worked with hybrid Citrix setups or cloud transitions.
