In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

The Opportunity

As a Field Technical Engineer within our Electrophysiology (EP) team you will be responsible for providing expert support and advise on the use of the Abbott EP portfolio within the assigned territory.

What You’llWork On:

  • Provide expert clinical consultation, teaching and support on the use of all EP products and their appropriate applicationduring electrophysiological procedures in the hospital (catheter laboratory).

  • Maintain up to date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the country healthcare market; discuss industry-specific flagship products and services.

  • Resolve common customer problems and respond to unexpected customer requests with a sense of urgency and positive action.

  • Provide technical support to the EP salesforce; proactively communicate information and discuss product placement and complex case support with sales team;discuss whole range of Abbott EP products and services with physicians/hospital staff.

  • Understand the business priorities of internal and external clients, awareness of sales targets and trends, marketing messaging and describe desired or actual business results in measurable scales or terms.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S degree preferably in Sciences/BS in (Medical) Engineering. (Biomedical Engineer - Prefer)

  • At least 3 year of experience in electrophysiology/cardiac rhythm management clinical experienceor in an equivalent role within industry.

  • Familiarity with catheter lab and operating room procedures and protocol and strong cardiac anatomy & physiology knowledgepreferred.

  • Strong communicator with active listening skills and questioning techniques.

  • Ability to work autonomously;adapting work schedule to procedures’ duration and coping with irregular/unevenwork days.Driving license (at least 1 year)

  • Mandatory location: Andalucía Occidental.

  • Zona: Huelva, Sevilla, Cádiz y Córdoba, y parte de Extremadura 40%.
