The Opportunity

Our Core Diagnostics Division is hiring a Distribution Account Executive covering GA, NC and SC. The DAE owns the execution of new Core Lab business in Hospitals, Reference Labs, Physician Office Labs, and Government facilities across their geography. This role will also Partner with our distribution partners to develop solutions that drive revenue and achieve growth. This role is responsible for full life cycle of new business opportunities and will partner with customer-based decision makers to enhance their competitiveness/performance by successfully leveraging the Abbott Diagnostics portfolio of products. The role will be accountable for driving market share growth through new business opportunity realization and supporting all contract/business renewals.

What You’ll Work On

  • Leverages cross-functional teams and resources successfully
  • Quickly develops trust and partnership with distributor partners and customer by demonstrating deep understanding of short and long-term needs and brings forward win-win solutions
  • Manage complex and long-term capital sales cycles
  • Works across multiple stakeholders including c-suite, expediting complex decisions to quick wins.
  • Work with distribution channel partners
  • Ability to learn technical and scientific knowledge and utilize in selling situations
  • Develops and deploys best practices, identifies new customer insights to drive business, highly accountable, and delivers above expectations
  • Anticipating where sales shortfalls might be and implements contingency plans to close the gap

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s degree with 2 years of sales experience or other applicable commercial experience.
  • 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%
  • Experience selling capital equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in capital sales and/or multi-stakeholder environments, developing and selling customized solutions to senior-level laboratory leadership and C-suite executives.
  • Experience selling thru distribution channel partners
  • Proven success in strategic sales, including exceeding plans and turning around underperforming territories.
  • Experience in capital sales and/or multi-stakeholder environments, developing and selling customized solutions to senior-level/C-suite executives.
  • Innovation and change management skills, with the ability to bring new ideas forward and drive them through the organization.
  • Strong business planning process and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Proficiency in SalesForce.com Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

The base pay for this position is

$75,300.00 – $150,700.00
