Fivetran is seeking a Solution Architect - Enterprise to facilitate the installation, configuration, and customization of Fivetran connectors, with a strong focus on the Connector SDK. The role requires a blend of customer interaction, technical proficiency, and software development skills.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on data integration solutions and software development.
Strong proficiency in Python programming, with experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Experience with the Fivetran Connector SDK is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of data integration and replication concepts.
Experience with various databases, data warehouses, and operating systems.
Proficiency in SQL and command-line scripting.
Familiarity with networking concepts, including SSH tunneling and VPNs.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A proactive approach to managing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Proven ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (git), testing, and documentation.

The story of Fivetran is a classic Silicon Valley tale of a pivot leading to immense success, a journey that began with two childhood friends, George Fraser and Taylor Brown. The pair, who first met as kids at lakeside cabins in Wisconsin, founded Fivetran in 2012 after being accepted into the prestigious Y Combinator accelerator program. They shifted their focus entirely to building automated, reliable data connectors. This decision to focus on one thing and do it exceptionally well—moving data—laid the groundwork for the modern data stack. The company established its headquarters in Oakland and began its rapid ascent. A series of successful funding rounds, including a Series D in 2021 that valued the company at $5.6 billion, provided the capital for aggressive expansion. Strategic acquisitions of HVR and Teleport Data in 2021 broadened their capabilities, allowing them to serve any company of any size. Today, Fivetran is a global leader in automated data movement, serving over 5,000 customers, from startups to Fortune 500 giants, and fulfilling its mission to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity.
