What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a backend role where I can design and ship secure, scalable services—building APIs and databases, optimizing performance, and collaborating with teams on system design and architecture.

I’m a Senior Backend Engineer and Software Engineer with 5 years of experience delivering scalable, secure, high-performance backend systems, APIs, and databases. I focus on building reliable services that perform under real-world load.

In my current role as a Backend Developer at Mestawet Tech (2021–Present), I design and develop REST APIs, implement secure authentication with JWT, and build and maintain PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB databases. I integrate third-party APIs, optimize performance through application and query tuning, and help shape system architecture and technical planning.

I collaborate closely with frontend developers and cross-functional teams, and I strengthen engineering quality through code reviews and mentoring junior developers. I enjoy ownership—from system design to delivery—using disciplined practices across microservices, system design, and software architecture.
