I draft technical tax interpretations at the Canada Revenue Agency’s Rulings Department, including matters involving cryptocurrency, international tax law, Indigenous tax law, administrative tax law, and non-profit organizations.
I’ve completed training on cryptocurrency, OECD Pillar One and Pillar Two, and reviewed the OECD reporting framework on crypto-assets.
At the Minister of Justice, I managed tax litigation files before the Tax Court of Canada and Federal Court of Canada, prepared for trials, conducted legal research, drafted responses to notices of appeal, and negotiated settlements.
I’ve also supported corporate reorganizations, tax planning, incorporations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance work at GWBR. My background includes legal research, international commercial projects, and published writing on legal, ethical, and scientific issues.
