Vera Svistunova
@verasvistunova
Industrial biotechnology researcher focused on molecular biology, protein engineering, and biochemical analysis.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Industrial Biotechnology Researcher with strong expertise in molecular biology, protein expression and purification, and biochemical analysis. I work end-to-end—from bioinformatically identifying targets to experimentally cloning, expressing, purifying, and characterising enzymes and their reaction products.
In my research, I developed and executed robust experimental protocols for gene identification, cloning, expression, and purification in E. coli. I’ve purified enzymes using IMAC, performed biochemical characterisation (including kinetic parameters, substrate specificity, and stability under different conditions), and used molecular dynamics to understand enzyme–substrate complexes.
Beyond the lab, I’m comfortable turning data into clear conclusions. I use statistical methods to analyse experimental data and I communicate findings through detailed reports, research papers, and presentations for both academic and broader audiences.
I also bring industry-facing experience from Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, where I supported quality systems through documentation, compliance, audits, controlled document review, and quality metrics. Combined with my project management training (planning, costing, execution, risk assessment, and monitoring), I aim to deliver reliable, practical research that aligns with real biotechnological applications.
