I’m a Senior Sybase Database Administrator with 20+ years managing and optimizing Sybase ASE, SQL Server (exposure), and Sybase Replication Server environments. I focus on performance tuning, disaster recovery, and automation—using advanced scripting and proven DBA methods to drive 99.99% uptime and seamless data synchronization across distributed systems.
In my current role, I spearhead administration, maintenance, and performance tuning for high-volume enterprise Sybase platforms. I design and troubleshoot Replication Server for high availability, plan and execute upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime, and build robust Unix Shell scripts (backups, integrity checks like DBCC, and monitoring) scheduled via crontab and Control-M. Previously, I supported daily operations, security, monitoring, and ETL scripting to move data into main central Sybase databases, partnering with development and QA to resolve production issues and improve DML modifications.
