Usman Zafar

I’m a Software Engineer with hands-on experience in AI/ML, FastAPI, DevOps, and automation workflows. I build scalable backend applications, REST APIs, and AI-powered systems using Python, FastAPI, PyTorch, and TensorFlow, with a strong focus on reliable integrations and deploying real-world intelligent features.

In internships, I developed backend APIs with async database integration and JWT authentication, and contributed to Machine Learning integration tasks. I also built an AI Property Pal chatbot using RAG architecture (integrating Zameen.com data), and worked on an end-to-end EdTech AI pipeline that converts lecture videos into transcripts, uses LLMs to generate assessments, and evaluates answers with semantic embeddings. Beyond that, I’ve developed deep learning projects including LSTM/VAE music generation, LSTM-based video frame prediction with hybrid loss (SSIM and MSE), and road sign detection using CNNS with YOLO and Faster R-CNN.
